That's how many people at its peak in the Tulsa TV market watched the clinching game that sent the Lakers home and the Oklahoma City Thunder on to the next round of the NBA playoffs.
It's that kind of reporting that you can come to expect from Bill Haisten, who is now the writer behind our
newest blog about the Thunder.
It complements his daily reporting we call the Thunder Insider, which is at
tulsaworld.com/thunderinsider. Follow Haisten on Twitter
@billhaisten. For football season, Haisten will cover the TU Hurricane and take over the
TU blog.
In other blog news on the site, Scene Writer Bravetta Hassell takes over the pop culture beat on the Pop blog at
tulsaworld.com/pop. She was quick yesterday to get that
"Anchorman 2" trailer up. Appreciate that. Love me some Brick.
John E. Hoover, the World's just-named sports columnist who takes over for the retired Dave Sittler, now has his own blog at
tulsaworld.com/johnehoover. For years, Hoover and Sports Writer Guerin Emig posted great tales on the
OU blog, one of the most popular blogs on tulsaworld.com. Sports Writer Eric Bailey now takes over Hoover's spot on the OU beat.
Sports Writer Jimmie Tramel will cover OSU football with Kelly Hines. She comes over from the high schools beat. Sports Writer Mike Brown takes her spot and joins Barry Lewis on the prep sports.
Finally, Tramel is now covering ORU sports and just posted his first blog post one:
"How about five questions regarding the Oral Roberts University men’s basketball program?"
