$1,000 reward for 25-foot-tall hamster

Poor Hamstar ...

This is, hands and hamsters down, THE most interesting thing I've heard today.

Bob Moore Kia in Edmond is asking the community for help in locating
a valued member of its family. Over the weekend, their giant, 25-foot inflatable hamster -- "Hamstar," as his t-shirt reads -- was stolen from the dealership.

A $1,000 reward is up for grabs for the safe return of the dealership's
hamster. Hamstar went missing early Monday morning from the dealership's lot. General manager Dann Welch filed a police report when
he noticed their inflatable friend was missing and immediately offered a
reward for his return to his Edmond home.

In an email to Bob Moore Kia employees, Welch was succinct in his explanation of events: "Some low life stole Hamstar in Edmond."

Hamstar was relatively new to the neighborhood, having only arrived in
Edmond about six weeks ago. While the search for Hamstar continues,
security has been increased at the Bob Moore Kia location in Oklahoma
City to protect the remaining 25-foot, inflatable hamster.

Anyone with information regarding the hamster-napping is urged to
contact the Bob Moore Kia dealership or Edmond police.

Peace, love and hamsters ... XOXO

Probably some confused Newt Gingrich fan thought they scored a political prop. Should show up after Super Tuesday.

Living Wright

While other kids were watching "The Smurfs," Scene Writer Jason Ashley Wright was tuned in to "Style with Elsa Klensch." By fourth grade, he knew he wanted to write, and spent almost three years publishing a weekly teen-oriented magazine, Teen-Zine -- circulation: 2. After earning a degree in journalism from the University of Southern Mississippi, he became the medical reporter and teen board coordinator for the Hattiesburg (Miss.) American, a Gannett newspaper. Eight months later, with visions of Elsa dancing in his head, he applied for the fashion writer position at the Tulsa World, where he began working on Aug. 3, 1998. He is now a general assignment reporter for Scene.
