It's going to take a hefty coffee table and heftier bank account if you want to be one of 100 persons to own "The Wine Opus," to be published by Kraken Opus next spring.
Our friend Larry Waltzer of Select Wine & Spirits spotted this item about "The Wine Opus" in a recent edition of Decanter magazine.
According to the article, "The Wine Opus," which weighs in at 66 pounds and costs a cool $1 million, will feature the world's top 100 wineries, according to a panel of experts in the wine industry.
As a tasty bonus, purchasers of the book also will receive a six-bottle case of wine from each of the 100 wineries featured and invitations to visit some of the wineries.
Kraken Opus previously has published extravagant works on fashion designer Vivienne Westwood, Indian cricket ace Sachin Tendulkar and Argentine soccer star Diego Maradona.
You better act quickly if you want a copy of "The Wine Opus." According to Decanter, 25 already have been pre-ordered.
