Most adults consider 15 percent to be the standard when tipping at a restaurant.

A new survey by Rasmussen Reports shows that figure has changed little for years now.

Here's the breakdown:
43 percent of adults say a 15 percent tip is good
25 percent say a 10 percent tip is enough
22 percent say a 20 percent tip is about right
8 percent say a less than 10 percent tip is fine

In 2008, those numbers were nearly the same, with one exception: Then, two percent said tipping more than 20 percent should be the standard.
