TULSA TO DO
All but one of this week's picks for things to do in Tulsa are free. And, that one exception? It's just $7 for an Irish dinner. ...
You're not going to run out of things to do this weekend. It will be easy to keep yourself, and the kids, busy with happenings ...
A friend told me he had thought more about Woody Guthrie in the last few days than he had his whole life.
It's no wonder. ...

Families can create art projects and have free admission on Saturday.

Kids eat free after 5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays at Firehouse Subs.
Looking for something fun to do with your family this weekend? It's a good weekend for free fun. Give one, or five, of these a try.
1. Free admission to Philbrook. It's the second Saturday at Philbrook, and that means free admission and family friendly tours of the museum. It's a great opportunity for kids, since they can make projects in the hands-on art area set up for kids. But, it's also a fun day for couples or singles on this day when exploring the galleries and wandering the grounds comes without cost.

2. Free tour of the Keystone Ancient Forest. If you've never taken this tour, it should be a good weekend to do so. Take advantage of the nice weather, and get outside before the long winter days are here. The tour takes you along the 1.5-mile trail in the forest, which is in Sand Springs, off of the Prue Road exit. For directions and more information, go to tulsaworld.com/keystoneancientforest. Tours begin at 8 a.m., and the last tour is at 2 p.m.
3. Free ice skating lessons. Typically ice skating lessons at the Oilers Ice Center cost $20 to $30 for a half hour of instruction. But at 11:15 a.m. Saturday, you can give it a try for free. These classes are perfect for families, since they're open for kids ages 3 and older, as well as adults.

4. Tulsa Promenade Kids Club. Let the kids sing, dance and play during the Tulsa Promenade's interactive kids club, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday. The Super Bowl-themed event takes place in the Food Court.
4107 S. Yale Ave.
5. Free sub sandwiches at Firehouse Subs. Kids eat free on Fridays and Saturdays after 5 p.m. at Firehouse Subs. It's a great deal for moms and dads and the kids, with lots of sandwiches to choose from including meatball, turkey-bacon-ranch and cheddar and beef brisket.
