5 places to go for fun (and cheap) stocking stuffers

In my family, the stockings are sometimes better than the gifts under the tree.
Our big stockings, each with a name monogrammed on the cuff, are filled to the brim with candy, socks, jewelry, makeup, movie theater gift cards and, always, an orange, an apple and some pecans.
The stuff in the stockings doesn't need to be expensive. Drug store odds and ends are as much fun to pick through as anything.
Here are five places to go for fun, inexpensive stocking stuffers.
1. Snow Goose:
This shop in Utica Square has odds and ends you can't find anywhere else. Pick up a new pair of reading glasses for the adults and a cool pocket-size toy for the kids.
1814 Utica Square, 918-749-6043
2. Atwoods:
Even if you don't know a thing about farming and ranching, Atwoods is a fun place to find little gifts. The retro toy aisle is great for small stocking stuffers, as are the big self-serve candy bins filled with cinnamon bears and circus peanuts. It's also a good place to go if you're looking for gifts for your pets.
Several locations in the Tulsa area
3. Kiddlestix:
If you need some extra toys and gadgets for the kids on Christmas morning, head to Kiddlestix. You'll find lots of educational toys and well-made toys that will stand up to toddlers and beyond. For stocking stuffers, check out the bins at the front of the store, near the register.
Two locations: 38th Street and Harvard Avenue and 8011 S. Sheridan Road
4. Mecca:
Loved ones with gourmet tastes will appreciate anything from Mecca, where you can find delicious teas and coffees. You could fill an entire stocking with kitchen gadgets - a welcome gift for a foodie.
1143 E. 33rd Place, 918-749-3509
5. Dwelling Spaces:
This downtown shop has tons of cool items for under $20 and even $10. If you're looking for Oklahoma- or Tulsa-centric items, this is the place for Okie grown and 918 tees.
119 S. Detroit Ave., 918-582-1033
