5 things to do after Thanksgiving dinner

What to do post-Thanksgiving dinner? Trim the tree.

After the turkey is eaten, the coffee and pies have been served and the dishes done, it may be time for a nap. Or, maybe there's something better to do.

Here are five top picks.

1. Head to the movies. The movies are packed Thanksgiving night, but that makes it more fun. Get your tickets early and splurge for the popcorn. It's a holiday after all.

2. Plan your Black Friday shopping. Clip, cut and circle your favorite items from the circulars and advertisements, then make a list of your must-haves. This will be a big help at 7 a.m. Friday morning.

3. Go to Utica Square. The Lights On celebration is a Tulsa tradition, and a great time either for a date or a family outing. Grab a hot chocolate and listen to Christmas carols as you check out the lights and window shop. It starts at 6:30 p.m.

4. Trim the tree. Drag out all your favorite Christmas decorations and, if you have an artificial tree, go ahead and light it up. The season goes fast, so enjoy it while it lasts.

5. Share your leftovers. If you know someone who couldn't get out for the holiday, pack up and deliver a plate with turkey and all the trimmings.
