ABC announces premiere dates for new, returning series this fall

ABC plans to stay traditional with the rollout of its fall 2012 TV schedule.

The network will premiere most of its new and returning shows during the official Premiere Week starting September 24. Its new drama "Nashville" will be the biggest exception with an October 10 debut. Also, Oklahoman Reba McEntire's new situation comedy "Malibu Country" won't debut until November 2.

The 2012 premiere schedule is:

September 14
7 p.m. - "Shark Tank"
8 p.m. - "What Would You Do?"
9 p.m. - "20/20"

September 24
7-9 p.m. - "Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars"
9 p.m. - "Castle"

September 25
7-9 p.m. - "Dancing with the Stars the Results Show"
9 p.m. - "Private Practice"

September 26
7 p.m. - "The Middle" (special one-hour premiere)
8 p.m. - "Modern Family"
8:30 - "The Neighbors" (series premiere)

September 27
7 p.m. - "Last Resort"
8 p.m. - "Grey’s Anatomy"
9 p.m. - "Scandal"

September 28
7 p.m. - "Once Upon a Time"
8 p.m. - "Revenge"
9 p.m. - "666 Park Avenue"

October 3
7:30-8 p.m. - "The Neighbors" (regular time period premiere)

October 7
6-7 p.m. - "America’s Funniest Home Videos"

October 10
9 p.m. - "Nashville"

October 17
8:30-9 p.m. - "Suburgatory"

October 23
8 p.m. - "Happy Endings"
8:30-9 p.m. - "Don't Trust the B—- in Apartment 23"

November 2
7 p.m. - "Last Man Standing"
7:30 - "Malibu Country"
8-9 p.m. "Shark Tank" (new time period premiere)

Rita Sherrow grew up with TV. Yes, it was the ever-present “sister” from another techno mother. At first look, it was instant "Like." From then on, the TV had to be on in every room while she studied, elementary school through college. An Air Force brat, she attended school in three states (Oklahoma, Montana and Georgia) and two foreign countries (Germany and Bermuda) and graduated from Broken Arrow High School and the University of Tulsa with a degree in journalism/advertising. She first interned in the advertising world but, when a J-School professor (who also covered politics for the Tulsa World) offered her an internship at the newspaper, she took him up on it.
