A $25 burger?

Cheeseburger and french fries from Scott's Hamburgers in Bixby.

Would you pay $25 for a hamburger?

In Oklahoma, I don't know that you could even if you were willing. I've seen restaurant burgers for as much as $14, but not more than that.

A recent New York Times piece weighed in on three burgers – all for under $25 – from well-known New York City burger establishments.

The fact that they had to set their limit at $25 makes me laugh.

I don't know too many people around here who would spend that much for a burger, especially since you can get a really good one for about $5.

I wonder what this New York Times writer would think about our Oklahoma burgers.
