When I was interviewing Brad Naifeh for a story about his new restaurant, Pizza Depot, recently he provided one of those interesting little nuggets that come out of nowhere.

He said for many years his parents, Jo Ann and the late Jimmie Naifeh, owned the Naifeh's Pik N Pak convenience store at 205 E. Mohawk Blvd.

"The one thing I remember is they were the first in Tulsa to put Simple Simon frozen pizzas in their store, and they were hugely popular," Naifeh said. "The store was sold a couple of years ago, but the name hasn't changed."
