A smidgen TOO Lively?

Gorgeous Blake Lively at Sunday night's Emmy Awards show. Like the dress or not?

Everyone's talking about gorgeous Blake Lively's rather plunge-y Versace at last night's Emmy Awards -- but I'm not a huge fan. She has a FABulous body, and she usually hits the mark on red carpets. But the dress was a bit too "Look, I have cleavage!" But what about y'all? What say you, readers?

I'll talk about it more in my column tomorrow, but I'd love to hear what you have to say. So fill me in on your faves and faux pas.

Peace, love and awards shows ... xoxo

Love the dress, but the plunging neckline is out of control. Double-stick tape and a well-placed brooch would have left a little something to the imagination. The plunging neckline and slit to the waist is a bit much. Elegant and tasteful will always stand the test of time. With that said, you must admit the girls are quite lively.

Going with more moxie on this one. I would have gone with elegant and tasteful too. Its a nice dress though, maybe for around the house?

I think there is something going on with her boobs. I don't know. I think there is enhancement with makeup to add definition or something. Those boobs just don't exist naturally.

Also check out my blog somedaynewyorker . blogspot . com im a Tulsa fashion blogger thats been to New York fashion week and has interned with Anna Sui.

The motto most woman I know use is this;

If you've got it, flaunt it, so long as you don't look cheap or tacky.

Blake Lively is a BEAUTIFUL woman who does NOT look cheap, she looks mature and stylish, which is probably exactly what she was going for.

That angle does make her look like she is about to spill out, but if you looked at her from the front, it wouldn't look so bad, not that she looks 'bad'.

It is always a contest each year to see who can get the most press out of their dress.

With that beautiful face and trim body I think a more classy look is better. You can dress feminine and attractive without going to these extremes. Classy is better than trashy.

Jason said: But the dress was a bit too "Look, I have cleavage!" I'd say that's more than cleavage.

If you pulled off a dress in like that even in the late 70's I am sure you can still bit a get tied tunged every now and then am I right?

While other kids were watching "The Smurfs," Scene Writer Jason Ashley Wright was tuned in to "Style with Elsa Klensch." By fourth grade, he knew he wanted to write, and spent almost three years publishing a weekly teen-oriented magazine, Teen-Zine -- circulation: 2. After earning a degree in journalism from the University of Southern Mississippi, he became the medical reporter and teen board coordinator for the Hattiesburg (Miss.) American, a Gannett newspaper. Eight months later, with visions of Elsa dancing in his head, he applied for the fashion writer position at the Tulsa World, where he began working on Aug. 3, 1998. He is now a general assignment reporter for Scene.
