A 5-year-old affenpinscher named Banana Joe was named Best in Show by the Westminster Kennel Club last night at New York’s Madison Square Garden.

The affenpinscher breed favors the monkey and as such is nicknamed “monkey dog.”

According to the Los Angeles Times, Banana Joe has won best in show at various other competitions. Last night, he became America's top dog.

Swagger, a 20-month-old Old English sheepdog won runner-up.
