Amy Sedaris. She's a crafty one.

Tickets go on sale Saturday for "Getting Crafty with Amy Sedaris," which will be presented May 17 at the Philbrook Museum of Art, 2727 S. Rockford Road.

Tickets are $15 for Philbrook members. For non-members, the cost is $15 plus the price of museum admission ($9 adults, $7 seniors and students). Tickets may be purchased online at tulsaworld.com/philbrook.

Seating is limited and advance purchase is required.

Sedaris, the sister of writer and performer David Sedaris, co-wrote and starred in the sitcom "Strangers with Candy," which also featured Stephen Colbert, a fellow member of the Second City comedy troupe.

She's appeared in many other TV series and films, but unveiled a new facet of her creative personality in 2006, with the publication of "I Like You: Entertaining Under the Influence," which managed to combine Sedaris' love of cooking with her skewed sense of humor.

Sedaris has expanded her efforts to becoming the doyenne of domesticity with her newest book, "Simple Times: Crafts for Poor People."

At her Philbrook appearance, according to museum officials, Sedaris "will show that anyone with a couple of hours to kill and access to pipe cleaners can join the elite society of crafters."
