Little more than a year after the death of songstress
Amy Winehouse, her ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil is fighting for his life.
Various outlets report Fielder-Civil, who was married to Winehouse for two years, suffered multiple-organ failure and was put into a medically-induced coma after an alleged overdose Thursday.
Sarah Aspin, Fielder-Civil’s partner and mother of their 15-month-old son, reportedly found the 30-year-old choking in bed after Fielder-Civil and a friend had gone out drinking the day before, she told
The Sun (U.K.). She said she believed he might have also engaged in illegal drug use.
"The doctors say they don't know the prognosis," Aspin told the U.K. paper. "They said they put him in a coma to help him and due to infection."
Aspin said that Thursday, Fielder-Civil returned to the couple’s home in Dewsbury, West Yorks staggering and "slurring his words.”
Fielder-Civil has long struggled with drug addiction,

During their time together, multiple-Grammy winner Winehouse and Fielder-Civil had, had a tumultuous relationship that included a flurry of drug and assault charges filed against both, MTV reports. The marriage ended in 2009.
