Writer and comedian Amy Sedaris, who was scheduled to appear at Philbrook for its “Third Thursday” event May 17, has canceled.

However, Philbrook will present film and TV set decorator Amy Wells, who will discuss her work in helping create the visual look of such productions as the films “American Pie,” “There Will Be Blood” and “A Single Man,” as well as the popular AMC TV series “Mad Men.”

The evening will include live jazz music and a cash bar serving beverages inspired by “Mad Men” and its mid-20th century culture. Those attending are encouraged to dress in 1960s style.

The Third Thursday event will begin with a cocktail hour at 6 p.m., with Wells’ presentation beginning at 7 p.m. The event is free with regular museum admission, but seating is limited and will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
