Andales Tex-Mex Cantina, located at 5966 S. Yale Ave. in KingsPointe Shopping Center, closed suddenly just before the first of the year.
The restaurant opened in 2008 to big promise and large crowds, featuring some menu items -- puff tacos, for instance -- that seemed unusual at the time and a pleasant, modern setting. The crowds, however, seemed to have dwindled significantly the past year or so.
Located just down the sidewalk from the always busy Pei Wei, this could be an attractive space for the right concept.
