Another Sign of the Apocalypse: $575 for Britney Spears

I realize that headline might lead on to believe that one could purchase Ms. Spears herself for that price. And I'm sure that price could be bartered down if one agrees to accept Ms. Spears' offspring as part of the deal.

But no, that's the top ticket price for the show Ms. Spears is to present at the BOK Center on Sept. 15.

That's the same amount as my mortgage payment. If I pay this amount to the latest financial institution overseeing my housing costs, it means my beloved wife and I get to share yet another month in our obviously small but quite cozy home.

Or, I could shovel that same amount of cash into the "trash to energy plant" that is Britney Spears career and for my effort and expense get to experience a night where probably the most artful and entertaining aspect will be how often the lights illuminating the stage change color.

Imagine the buyer's remorse.

"Trash to energy plant." That's good! Perfect description of Britney Spears. Can you find out and get back to us who and how many are actually crazy enough to go for the $575 tickets?
It is will interesting to see if any one takes advantage of the $575 seats. Frightening and depressing, but interesting.
