Anyone know good places to dine in Jacksonville, Fla.?

A cousin, Nancy Sisson Babich, is married to Bob Babich, who just was named defensive coordinator of the Jacksonville Jaquars.

We had a great Chicago trip when Bob was a coach with the Bears, and now we are looking forward to a Florida football trip.

We have been to a number of places all over Florida but never Jacksonville. Can anyone make some restaurant recommendations for us?

My brother lives in Jax, and we were there over Christmas. Here are some pretty good places.

Mojo's Kitchen, 1500 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville Bch, FL - a bbq place
Al's Pizza, 303 Atlantic Blvd, Atlantic Beach, FL
Tommy's Brick-Oven Pizza 4160 Southside Blvd, Jacksonville, FL

A decent bbq place, which is all over the Southeast is Sonny's BBQ, Real Pit BBQ, of which there are several in JAX.

In addition, if you want cookies, cupcakes, sweets, or custom cakes, you can go to Sugar Rush Confections, 229 3rd St, Neptune Beach, FL.

In full disclosure, this is my brother and his wife's business in JAX. But they make good desserts, and they have won the 2013 Bride's Choice Award from Wedding Wire.
