"August: Osage County" coming to Tulsa?

I’ve heard it from two sources now – one of whom is the playwright himself – so here’s the news:

“August: Osage County,” Tracy Letts’ Pulitzer Prize-winning play about an imploding Oklahoma family, is coming to Tulsa.

“I can tell you that the producer is working with local interests to make Tulsa a stop on the national tour,” Letts said, during his appearance Friday night at the Celebration of Books opening event Friday at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center.

What Letts – or anyone else right now – cannot say is exactly when the
“August: Osage County” tour will make it to Tulsa. The only tour date that has been announced is the opening run, which will be August 2009 at the Curran Theater in San Francisco.
