I finally saw "Avatar" this weekend. We almost didn't get a seat because I insisted on standing in the longest line ever for popcorn.

A few weeks ago I wrote about a study showing the staggering amount of fat and calories in movie theater popcorn. It apparently didn't sink in because when I ordered a medium Coke and medium popcorn, the cashier "upsized" my order with an offer that was too good to pass up: 50 cents LESS for a large Coke and large popcorn. OK, fine, and give me some M&Ms while you're at it.

So I wobbled my way to my seat with the most enormous vat of buttered popcorn I've ever seen.

All that said, food blogger Cake Spy made the coolest "Avatar" inspired dessert. Avatarts.

It's a homemade Pop Tart wrapped in blue marzipan and decorated to look like one of the creatures from the movie. Cake Spy calls it: "A sweet treat wherein pop culture and Pop Tart collide."
