The rumors have been confirmed:
Yes, Taylor Hanson’s joined a side project, including members of Cheap Trick, Smashing Pumpkins and Fountains of Wayne. The band has named itself Tinted Windows.
No, he is not leaving his brothers or the established music career of the trio’s pop-rock act, Hanson.
Tinted Windows makes its live debut at a South by Southwest show on March 20 at the Pangaea club in Austin, Texas, at a Billboard music showcase, confirmed Billboard online.
Also, while at home in Tulsa, the brothers have been busy entertaining Adam Green of The Moldy Peaches and comedic musician Weird Al Yankovic, among others, while working on a new Hanson album. (Picture at right.)
