The
2013 Backwoods Bash has announced its first round of headliners and set a date.
The music and camping fest runs Memorial Day weekend,
May 24-27 at
Old Walnut Creek State Park on Keystone Lake.
Music includes local and regional roots, reggae and jam music from
Sam & the Stylees,
Brujoroots,
Dirty Creek Bandits,
Ego Culture,
Grinnin' Possum,
Jimmy Ray Taylor & The Dirtboxwailers,
klondike5,
Move Trio,
North Meets South,
Parallel Play,
Paul Benjaman Band,
Red Wood Rising,
SocietySociety,
The Big O Show,
The Loaded Dice,
The Summit and
Tito’s Wild Ride.
Organizers said five more headliners will be announced soon.
Also, there is access to camping, fishing, and kids activities including kite-building, drum-making and fishing clinic, a veteran’s memorial service and more, according to the event’s official website.
Full-weekend general admission passes are $40 — but the passes are $23 through March. Boat and RV passes also are available.
Proceeds benefit the
Foundation for the Symposium of International Arts, Music and Entertainment.
