Bad Company played The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Thursday night, ending the American leg of their tour with a sold-out crowd and a dozen and a half hits, including two encores.

Frontman Paul Rodgers strutted in tight black jeans and white tank with black bedazzled vest.

A talented if minimally-ambulatory backing band joined him. A little stiff on delivery, looking a little road weary, Rodgers and company eased into the set, gaining momentum as it went.

As the set progressed, Rodgers' chest broadened and his confidence soared with his voice, especially on "Burnin' Sky." The eclectic and energetic crowd danced and swayed. At times, Ridgers jumped from mic to harmonica to piano and tambourine, tossing his mic stand into the air and high-fiving the fans that had pressed themselves into the stage front, arms outstretched.

The sound in the new venue was sharp and clear, well-mixed and well-balanced. Vocals were clear, guitars glittered with highs and drums rumbled with bass.

As Rodgers mentioned in previous interviews, might this have been his last American performance with BadCo? Well, his parting words were "until we meet again, Tulsa!" as he raised two peace signs into the air. I'll take that as a hint: It isn't over, folks.
