A full review of Friday night's performance of the triple bill "Legends" by Tulsa Ballet should appear in Monday's paper -- after the show has closed, unfortunately.

So we urge you -- all those who enjoy dance, who appreciate seeing artists working at their best, who just want to be dazzled by the things the human body can do, and the emotions that can be evoked from those movements -- make plans to see "Legends."

Shows are 8 p.m. Saturday Nov. 1, and 3 p.m. Sunday Nov. 2. Tickets can be as low as $20, or as high as $70.

As a friend of mine pointed out -- tickets for the upcoming AC/DC concert in town are close to $100. You can cough up a C-note to watch a bunch of senior citizens pretending to be children play what is basically the same song for 45 minutes.

Or you can experience a thing of beauty -- something that will startle you (Nacho Duato's "Gnawa," a non-stop high-speed exploration of grace and eroticism), that will make you laugh (wait until the ballgowns appear in the middle of Jiri Kylian's "Petite Mort"), that will make you cry (the desperation set to the bouncy popular songs of the 1930s in Paul Taylor's "Black Tuesday").

You will come away from Legends amazed.

On Sunday, we'll be posting an interview with Tony Fabre, Nacho Duato's assistant who set "Gnawa" on the Tulsa Ballet.

And Monday -- if everything goes the way it should -- we'll have the review in the paper. Or here.
