Bear Grylls and Discovery are no more.
The relationship between the British star of "Man vs. Wild," and the cable network has been terminated, according to hollywoodreporter.com.
The reason is the network has "allegedly been unable to get Grylls to participate in two unannounced projects he was contracted for," according to the Web site which cited unnamed sources.
Grylls has been working with Discovery since "Man vs. Wild" debuted in 2006. The sixth season of the series completed production last August.
"Due to a continuing contractual dispute with Bear Grylls, Discovery has terminated all current productions with him,” a network spokesperson told the Web site.
The 37-year-old television personality is the author of numerous survival guide books and his memoir, "Mud, Sweat and Tears" is set to be released in the United States in May. It is already a bestseller in England and Australia, said the article.
Grylls also has numerous endorsement deals, a clothing line and there is a "Man vs. Wild" video game, reported the Web site.
