It's hip to be a Scout.

That's what one council of Boy Scouts of America wants young men to believe with its new ad campaign.

But according to Time, it's causing a few people to scratch their, er, beards.

In the ad for the Atlanta Area Council of the Boy Scouts, these cute Boy Scouts are shown with full, grizzly beards, and the tagline is: "Be One With the Wild."

It's meant to encourage kids to join the Scouts and hit the wilderness. No, they won't come back looking like they've turned into lumber jacks, but maybe they'll have a little dirt under their fingernails.

At first glance, it might seem a bit odd, but it's an ad -- it's meant to capture your attention. The more I look at it, though, I find it funny and rather inspired.

What do you think of these bearded Boy Scouts? Cute or borderline creepy?
