This one still is down the road a few weeks, but beer and beef fans might want to plan ahead for the first Beer and Beefsteak Banquet, scheduled at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 12 at Fassler Hall, 304 S. Elgin Ave.

"I recently read a great article by Paul Lukas (New York Times) about the rebirth of an old New York tradition, beefsteak banquets, and thought why not bring back a little bit of old, traditional New York to Tulsa," Fassler owner Elliot Nelson said in a news release.

Diners at the banquet will be served an all-you-can-eat beef tenderloin dinner with sides, and the price includes the food, beer and a commemorative apron.

Cost is $50 per person, or $45 per person for groups of four or more. Guests must be 21 years old or above, and reservations are required. Send reservation requests to brian@fasslerhall.com.

beefsteaker (last year)
Beefsteaks are thrown all over in different forms — there are many in New York and New Jersey alone. But this Beefsteak looks suspiciously close to the Brooklyn Beefsteak, founded in 2009. The poster is very similar, the pricing is the same, the slogan is identical! check it out: brooklynbeefsteak dot com
