Beer and sandwiches

The July/August issue of Draft magazine includes a fun story on sandwich and beer pairings.

Here are a few of their picks:

Sandwich:Peanut Butter and Jelly
Beer:Sierra Nevada Porter
They say the dark beer matches well with the roasted peanut taste.

Sandwich:Philly Cheesesteak
Beer:Avery India Pale Ale
A crisp beer is the way to go with the rich flavors of grilled meat, melted cheese and fried onions.

Sandwich:Turkey Club
Beer:Anchor Steam
An easy-to-drink beer is good with the comfort-food flavor of a club sandwich, they say.

Sandwich: Meatball
Beer:Saison Dupont
A light, citrusy beer like the Saison Dupont pairs well with the tomato sauce, according to Draft editors.

Sandwich:Grilled Cheese
Beer:Trumer Pils
This pairing gives you a feel-good flavor with notes of buttery, toastiness from the beer and the sandwich.
