The new Alice in Chains iTunes app is 99 cents, and while it doesn't hook you up directly with the band, it does just about everything else.

The application includes video streams, fan feedback, breaking news, biography, discography, live and behind-the-scenes photos, three full album tracks, tour dates and more.

You will need a wi-fi connection or will have to download the app to your iTunes on your computer, since it is over 10MB.

The Seattle-based rockers' 11-song studio effort is its first CD since the 2002 drug overdose death of lead singer Layne Staley.

But the band hasn't replaced Staley, said co-guitarist, co-vocalist and part-time Oklahoma resident Jerry Cantrell.

Apparently, fans agree.

The first single from the album, "Check My Brain," now sits at No. 1 on Billboard's top rock song chart. Fueled by the hit single, "Black Gives Way To Blue" entered Billboard's Top 200 Albums Chart at No. 5, with sales exceeding 126,000 copies.

PLUS! See Alice in Chains perform live Friday night on NBC's "The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien," KJRH Channel 2 in Tulsa, cable channel 9. The show starts at 10:35 p.m.
