Bill Hader: TV, films and now comic books.

Less than 24 hours after I blogged about Tulsa's busiest comedic actor starting work on his fourth film scheduled for release in the next year -- all while working around his "Saturday Night Live" schedule -- I'm alerted to the fact that his take on Spider-Man has hit comic book stands.

Hader, an acknowledged comic-book addict, and his "SNL" colleague Seth Meyers co-wrote "Spider-Man: The Short Halloween" and talked about it on the Marvel Comics Web site.

"It's a story that finds Spider-Man tracking some bad guys on Halloween that turns into a case of mistaken identity. It's pretty funny (at least Seth Meyers and I hope it is) and does not mess with the current Spider-Man continuity," Hader said.

"(Our issue) is a one-off, which is why I think Marvel liked the idea. We're just having fun. We're hoping that Marvel will let us do this with some of the other characters -- let us write little silly stand-alone stories. That would be sweet!"
