Breakfast at Westminster Abbey

God save the queen -- especially from a few of the atrocious hats behind her.

So Cary Aspinwall arrived with lime-zested fruit, hazelnut coffee and cream (and honest-to-goodness sugar cubes, no less), and Weight Watchers breakfast quesadillas. No mimosas, sadly, but we're having a gay(ish) ol' time, nonetheless.

So was that one of Fergie's daughters behind the queen? If so, she needs to lay off the eye makeup -- very methadone addict-esque. And the hats? Please tell me Philip Treacy didn't design those atrocities.

"It's Lady Gaga, you can't really judge her," reporter Jarrel Wade just said. Well, yes, if it was on Lady Gaga, it'd be different. (But I doubt Gaga would wear this.)

Like the queen's hat, though. She looks rather cheery in yellow. I dare say, happy.

Your thoughts?

Peace, love and methadone ... XOXO

I personally think Fergie took vengeance for not being invited by designing her daughters' hats and dresses. Wonder what HRM thinks of those granddaughters?

Living Wright

While other kids were watching "The Smurfs," Scene Writer Jason Ashley Wright was tuned in to "Style with Elsa Klensch." By fourth grade, he knew he wanted to write, and spent almost three years publishing a weekly teen-oriented magazine, Teen-Zine -- circulation: 2. After earning a degree in journalism from the University of Southern Mississippi, he became the medical reporter and teen board coordinator for the Hattiesburg (Miss.) American, a Gannett newspaper. Eight months later, with visions of Elsa dancing in his head, he applied for the fashion writer position at the Tulsa World, where he began working on Aug. 3, 1998. He is now a general assignment reporter for Scene.
