"Breaking Bad" returns for its fifth and final season July 15 on AMC, cable 48.
The multi-award-winning drama, starring Bryan Cranston, will air eight episodes at 9 p.m. Sundays this summer and wrap its series run with eight more episodes in the summer 2013.
The series, which has won six Emmys, a Peabody Award and been named to the American Film Institute's (AFI) list of the "Top 10 Programs of the Year" for 2008, 2010 and 2011, follows Walter White (Cranston), a chemistry teacher diagnosed with Stage III cancer and given a prognosis of two years to live. Season four of “Breaking Bad” will be available on Blu-ray and DVD on June 5.
The network also announced the debut of its newest unscripted series, "Small Town Security," at 10 p.m. July 15 and the return of season two of the epic western "Hell on Wheels' at 8 p.m. August 12.
