Dreams do come true.

Oklahoma country star Carrie Underwood made the lifetime of a 12-year-old in Louisville, Ky., last weekend.

Underwood was performing on her "Blown Away" tour when she spotted a 12-year-old boy in the audience holding up a sign that read "Will You Be My First Kiss?"

The Checotah native obliged by inviting the pre-teen named Chase up on stage and asking "How are we going to do this?"

"Lip to lip," came the bold reply from the pre-teen, drawing a big response from the audience.

"This is the smartest kid I know," she said, laughing.

But, first, she warned him that her 6'1, 200 plus-pound hockey player husband Mike Fisher was somewhere in the building and "might come looking for you." Then she instructed him to close his eyes and gave him a quick smack.

Score one for the kid.

Later, she tweeted: "Thanks, Chase, for the kiss and thanks Louisville for rocking so hard tonight! We had fun!"

Her "Blown Away Tour" includes shows Oct. 25 at Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City and Nov. 21 at the BOK Center in Tulsa.

Rita Sherrow grew up with TV. Yes, it was the ever-present “sister” from another techno mother. At first look, it was instant "Like." From then on, the TV had to be on in every room while she studied, elementary school through college. An Air Force brat, she attended school in three states (Oklahoma, Montana and Georgia) and two foreign countries (Germany and Bermuda) and graduated from Broken Arrow High School and the University of Tulsa with a degree in journalism/advertising. She first interned in the advertising world but, when a J-School professor (who also covered politics for the Tulsa World) offered her an internship at the newspaper, she took him up on it. The rest is history. She has served as bridal editor, senior features writer for the women’s section, food editor and is television editor of the Tulsa World. In addition to writing about TV shows and interviewing the stars for “Scene” stories, she also writes a TV column for Weekend and produces the Sunday TV World listings magazine.
