Happy 50th birthday, Paula Abdul.

From the oblivious to the fidgety to the bizarre like the "butt walk," Abdul has kept American TV viewers entertained for years.

1. During Season 7 of "American Idol," Abdul declared David Archuleta's rendition of John Lennon's "Imagine," as “ridiculous!" and then added "I wanted to squish you, squeeze your head off and dangle you from my rear-view mirror."
2. On her reality show "Hey Paula," she morphs from glad to furious in an instant, telling her stylist "I work my a-- off!"
3. Paula gets confused and tells "Idol" contestant Jason Castro that his second song performance "lacked your usual charm" but he only sang once. Former Tulsan David Cook, center on stage, looks confused, too. She later clarified she was comparing his performance from the dress rehearsal.
4. Abdul and Simon Cowell devour each other in a kiss during a skit for "American Idol."
