Chimera Cafe officially opened Monday at 212 N. Main St. in the Brady District.

The cafe, owned by Rob Stuart and Jack Wood, features pastries, granola, breakfast tacos, salads and sandwiches. It also has a full bar in addition to traditional coffee drinks.

Among dishes on the menu are Cinderella's Big Score taco (egg, spinach, tomato, feta cheese), Teenage Riot taco (egg, caramelized onion, fauxrizo, cilantro, cheddar cheese), Dutch Farmer salad (shredded beets, carrots, kale, dried cranberries, roasted hazelnuts, sweet citrus dressing) and Monsieur Fromage sandwich (sharp cheddar, cheese curds, seasoned mayo and bacon or vegan smoked adzuki strips).

Tacos are about $3 each, salads $7 and sandwiches with a side dish $8.

"The menu will be seasonal, and we will add things as we go," Stuart said. "We make all we can ourselves. Our tortillas and breads are made inhouse."

Chimera (pronounced ki-mir-a) is open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week. The phone number is 918-779-4303.

"This area is going to continue to build up, and we want to be ready for it," Stuart said. "We want to catch the runners and bikers and people visiting downtown for breakfast on the weekends, and we want to be open at night when all the things are happening around here."

Chimera takes all major credit cards and seats about 60.
