Contest No. 3: Last chance to win "Breaking Dawn" DVD
Published:

Bella and Edward's wedding in "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1."
This is your third and final chance to win a copy of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1" on DVD before you can buy it this weekend.
The winner will have to answer a trivia question, and it's the most difficult puzzler this week.
You will either have to be the most loyal of my readers to recall the answer, or you'll need to know how to look up information in the Tulsa World archives (search at the top of our home page). Or you'll need to guess.
The question: This past year I interviewed three different actors who appear in "Breaking Dawn, Part 1." I ran stories on each of them, including Ashley Greene (she plays Alice Cullen) and Elizabeth Reaser (Esme Cullen) in November in connection with the film's release.
What actor did I write an article about early in 2011, in connection with another movie, although we did talk about "Twilight" movies, too?
Name him.
If you know the answer, respond on this blog before 9 p.m. Thursday.
A random drawing from all correct answers submitted to this question will decide the winner. The winner will be contacted and told when to pick up a copy of the new DVD on Friday.

Thank you to all who entered in our contest and provided the correct answer: It was Billy Burke who I interviewed in early 2011, and it was for the film "Drive Angry," but we also discussed the "Twilight" movies and his character, Charlie Swan.
We'll figure out a winner of this contest and announce it here soon.

“I was born a poor, black child” … not me, actually, but Steve Martin’s character in the “The Jerk.” That absurd opening line is just one of the absurd number of film facts, quotes and minutiae contained in
movie critic Michael Smith’s
brain, at his disposal to toss out on a moment’s notice. It’s a key requirement as Tulsa World film critic to know these things. Michael learned a few other life facts along the way (seven years as a Crystal’s Pizza & Spaghetti manager) before attempting journalism and joining the Tulsa World in 1996, where he’s covered everything from a school shooting in Fort Gibson to a tornado in Stroud to witnessing an execution. A little community theater coverage was sprinkled in there, too. Movies engender many of his happiest memories, from standing in line for “Star Wars” and “Grease” at the Southroads Cinema to the James Bond and Pink Panther movies that always premiered at the enormous Continental Theater.

Big winner tonight: producer Harvey Weinstein. "The Artist" wins 5 Oscars, "The Iron Lady" goes 2-for-2, even wins best documentary.
