We knew country music star and transplanted Oklahoman Miranda Lambert was an avid outdoors-type of gal and fished as well as hunted deer and turkeys. But most probably didn't realize she was a hog hunter, too.

On Sunday, the Texas native tweeted a photo of herself and listed what is required if you're going hog hunting.

"All the important things for hunting.. Bow. Camo. Binoculars. Pink cup. lip gloss!" she tweeted via @Miranda_Lambert.

Earlier that day, she tweeted: "Baby it's time we got back to the basics of love"...first time in the woods this season. & with BS!” as @katnissforever and posted the photo.

No word on whether she actually bagged a wild hog using her compound bow.

"BS" is, of course, her husband country music star and "The Voice" coach Blake Shelton with whom she lives on a ranch near Tishomingo.

Last Friday, she opened her own lifestyle and general merchandise store, the Pink Pistol at 214 W. Main Street in downtown Tishomingo. It's a store "For The Wild at Heart," she told kscs.com.

The store is stocked with merchandise chosen by Lambert and features handmade boots and belts, clothing and home goods, jewelry and other accessories, and more, she said.

"It's antiques, gifts, boots, jeans and pretty much everything you can imagine," she told the website.

Good for her!

I hope she plans on being in a tree and not on the ground while hunting feral hogs with a bow.

Its where I would be, in a tree.

Me too, I don't think she can run 25mph, and unless she's a top notch shot with a bow she'd better have bionic legs if not in a tree. LOL

I go hog hunting a couple of time a year; We use deer rifles. I wish more hunters would and we might get control of these beast. Hogs destroy a lot of productive ground, they'll ruin a field in short order. It won't be long and they'll be in Tulsa County in greater numbers.

Rita Sherrow grew up with TV. Yes, it was the ever-present “sister” from another techno mother. At first look, it was instant "Like." From then on, the TV had to be on in every room while she studied, elementary school through college. An Air Force brat, she attended school in three states (Oklahoma, Montana and Georgia) and two foreign countries (Germany and Bermuda) and graduated from Broken Arrow High School and the University of Tulsa with a degree in journalism/advertising. She first interned in the advertising world but, when a J-School professor (who also covered politics for the Tulsa World) offered her an internship at the newspaper, she took him up on it. The rest is history. She has served as bridal editor, senior features writer for the women’s section, food editor and is television editor of the Tulsa World. In addition to writing about TV shows and interviewing the stars for “Scene” stories, she also writes a TV column for Weekend and produces the Sunday TV World listings magazine.
