We received an email from St. Martin's Press about the release of the cover image of the next book in P.C. and Kristin Cast's wildly popular young adult series "House of Night."
"Tempted" is the title of the book -- the sixth in the series -- and it won't make it to book shelves until Oct. 27.
For reasons unknown to me, I'm not able -- or perhaps not allowed -- to insert photographs into this blog, so I'll just include a link to the Casts' website, where those interested can feast their eyes on the "Tempted" cover.

Another Tulsa author, Jeff Martin -- who is also the driving force behind BookSmart Tulsa (and a cast member of the Harwelden Murder Mystery this year, which runs July 30 to Aug. 1 and Aug 6 to 8, and tickets are just $45 for dinner and a show, but that's another story....) -- has his upcoming book featured in the New Yorker's "Book Bench" blog, as an example of extremely clever titles.
It's part of a slide show of upcoming books with titles that are a little out of the ordinary. I've seen an advance copy of the book, and it's wickedly funny. "My Dog Ate My Nobel Prize: The Fabricated Memoirs of Jeff Martin" officially hits bookstores Sept. 1.
