Crystal Bridges in Bentonville opens today.

One wing of Crystal Bridges, which was still unfinished Oct. 24. The museum, a vision of Wal-Mart heiress Alice Walton, opens to the public Nov. 11.

But you can't go.

Admission to the museum is free, but tickets have to be reserved for specific times, and this weekend's available spots on the schedule are booked solid.

All other Saturdays in November are full, as well. Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays in November have times available (the museum is closed on Tuesdays and holidays), and December is pretty fair game for whenever you might want to visit the place.

When I was there in October, several of the gallery spaces were still under construction, and the group of TV and print journalists I was in was herded through the place at a fairly rapid pace, so I'm going to have to go back at some time and see the finished product -- and maybe have another meal at Table Mesa, a very nice restaurant in Bentonville's town square.

To reserve tickets for Crystal Bridges, go here. To see what Table Mesa has to offer, go here.
