'Dancing With the Stars' announces celebrity cast

Chart-topper Gavin DeGraw, "The View" co-host Sherri Shepherd and tennis legend Martina Navratilova top the cast of 12 celebrities who will compete on "Dancing With the Stars" when the series kicks off its new season March 19.

Also dancing will be a Super Bowl champion, a telenovela star, a Disney star and a music legend.

The competitors and their professional dance partners were announced Tuesday on "Good Morning America." The reality dance competition will air at 7 p.m. Mondays with the first results show and elimination airing at 8 p.m. March 27 on channel 8.

The stars and their partners are:

Gavin DeGraw and last season’s champion Karina Smirnoff who returns for her 11th season.

Green Bay Packers receiver and Super Bowl champion Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd, who is back for her second season.

Disney star Roshon Fegan of "Shake It Up!" and Chelsie Hightower who is back for her sixth season.

An actor since age 2 and former president of the Screen Actors Guild Melissa Gilbert and 12-time "DWTS" professional Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

Classical crossover artist Katherine Jenkins and two-time champion Mark Ballas.

Eight-time Grammy winner Gladys Knight and Tristan McManus who is back for a second season.

Cuban-born actor William Levy, star of the telenovela "Triunfo del Amor," and two-time champion Cheryl Burke, back for her 13th season.

Actress and "Extra" host Maria Menounos and Derek Hough, a three- champion who returns for his ninth season.

Tennis champion Martina Navratilova and Tony Dovolani back for his 13th season.

Actress and "The View" co-host Sherri Shepherd and Val Chmerkovskiy back on the show for a second season.

Actor Jack Wagner, from the cast of "The Bold & the Beautiful," and Anna Trebunskaya returning for a ninth season.

Actor and screenwriter Jaleel White with two-time champion Kym Johnson who returns for her 11th season.

Tom Bergeron ("America's Funniest Home Videos") and Brooke Burke Charvet ("Dancing With the Stars" season seven champion) are the hosts of the hit series in which celebrities perform choreographed dance routines that are judged by ballroom judge Len Goodman and dancer/choreographers Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba.

Viewers may cast their votes for their favorite teams via phone on Monday nights during and up to 30 minutes after the "Dancing With the Stars" performance shows. AT&T customers may also vote by texting the word “VOTE” and entering the number that corresponds to the team they want to support (message and data rates may apply).
