As a moderate James Bond fan, I can't wait for "Skyfall" -- even though I can't help but think of Chicken Little every time I hear it.

Anyway, just imagine (go ahead, close your eyes -- it's probably time for a quick nap, anyway) my delight at hearing that Cinemark will show "Skyfall" in all its XD and IMAX auditoriums starting Nov. 8, one whole day in advance of the films Nov. 9 wide release.

Cinemark has XD and IMAX auditoriums located in more than 70 markets across the US, including the Cinemark Tulsa at 10802 E. 71st St. South.

OK, so what's with all the XD stuff? Well, it's Cinemark's popular, premium large-format movie experience, with the XD auditorium the largest in the theater complex, plus wall-to-wall and ceiling-to-floor screen, plush seating, and a custom sound system with higher-end components and 7.1 capable digital surround sound.

Moreover, the digital images are delivered by a Doremi server and a Barco DLP digital projector, which offers the brightest light standards in the industry.

Customers can purchase advance tickets now for early XD showtimes, including the special 12:07 a.m. show on Nov. 8, by clicking here. The wide release of "Skyfall" begins Nov. 9 in Cinemark's first-run theaters across the country.

Peace, love and Little, Chicken Little ... XOXO

While other kids were watching "The Smurfs," Scene Writer Jason Ashley Wright was tuned in to "Style with Elsa Klensch." By fourth grade, he knew he wanted to write, and spent almost three years publishing a weekly teen-oriented magazine, Teen-Zine -- circulation: 2. After earning a degree in journalism from the University of Southern Mississippi, he became the medical reporter and teen board coordinator for the Hattiesburg (Miss.) American, a Gannett newspaper. Eight months later, with visions of Elsa dancing in his head, he applied for the fashion writer position at the Tulsa World, where he began working on Aug. 3, 1998. He is now a general assignment reporter for Scene.
