Showtime's favorite serial killer returns when "Dexter" kicks off its seventh season Sept. 30 on cable 350.
Michael C. Hall stars as Dexter Morgan, a complicated blood splatter expert for the Miami Police Department who moonlights as a serial killer who only offs bad guys.
When the season kicks off, Dexter is dealing with his worst nightmare after his sister Debra Morgan (Jennifer Carpenter) witnessed his ritual killing of a killer.
Now she has to get her head around the fact that her seemingly quiet brother is a Dark Passenger and the city's most notorious serial killer.
And, Dexter, who is impulsively drawn to mete out justice to the guilty like a vicious Ukranian mobster (Ray Stevenson), meets a strong woman (Yvonne Strahovski) who wants to put her past behind her.
The show has received multiple Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for best television drama series, as well as a prestigious Peabody Award in 2008, and was twice named one of the American Film Institute's Top Ten TV series, according to press information.
