But the owner is still hopeful that someone will eventually carry on the Diamond Jack’s tradition.
The popular sandwich restaurant at 7031 S. Zurich Ave. has been a Tulsa institution for 47 years and loyal customers have packed the place since it was announced that it will close on June 29.
And many customers have asked for the recipes to their favorite Diamond Jack’s specialties.
However, owner Nancy Zankel, said they are still hopeful that someone might be interested in purchasing the recipes and the restaurant’s name so they have politely declined to release them.
“We have had a few nibbles, but nothing concrete,” she said of that possibility.
