Dickey's Barbecue Pit opened its second Tulsa-area store Thursday at 820 N. Aspen Ave. (71st Street and 145th East Avenue) in Broken Arrow.
Texas-based Dickey's operates cafeteria-style. Meats are chopped and sliced in front of customers when their orders are placed, and sides are scooped out of large containers as diners move down the line. Their trays of food are ready by the time they check out.
Dickey's is open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week.
Dickey's opened its first area store a year ago in KingsPointe Village Shopping Center at 61st Street and Yale Avenue.
