Dickey's offers $1 sandwiches, chance to win free barbecue for a year

Dickey's Barbecue Pit, the new 'cue spot in KingsPointe Village at 61st Street and Yale Avenue, will stage its official grand opening Friday with a couple of enticing promotions.

From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., customers may purchase barbecue sandwiches for $1. Also, three customers will win the top door prize of free barbecue for a year.

Dickey's Barbecue Pit opened in Dallas in 1941 and currently has 147 locations scattered over 33 states.
