"Doctor Who" has had its fair share of guest stars, especially in the Christmas specials. Evey one from Dumbledore himself, Michael Gambon to pop star Kylie Minogue. This year, in addition to introducing Jenna-Louise Coleman as the Doctor's new companion Clara, we are treated to Richard E. Grant as the evil Doctor Simeon, and... wait for it... Sir Ian McKellen from X-Men and Lord of the Rings as the voice of the creepy snowmen pictured above. I don't know why, but I kind of hope they'd sound like Jimmy Durante, but that's because I watch too much TV. [

Also, it appears that the interior of the TARDIS is getting a makeover. Showrunner Steven Moffat has announced that while the exterior will remain the iconic police box we all know and love, the interior will be "whole new magical world that will be home to the Doctor and Clara."
The BBC offered this little tease: 
This fits in with the rumors that this story takes place after the Doctor has been left on his own for a very long time after parting ways with the Ponds, which he couldn't quite handle. It will be interesting to see what he's been doing all that time. Apparently interior design is on the list. [
