The search engine Bing this week released a free iPhone app that chronicles (and plays!) the top 100 songs of each year, all the way back to 1947.

Top 100s by Year by Bing" is free for a limited time from the iTunes store.
The list isn't based on Billboard charts as much as it is on the timeless feel and durability of the tunes.
