American actress Elizabeth McGovern and co-star Britain’s Michelle Dockery of PBS’ hit series "Downton Abbey” are working on a album together.
Dockery, 30, who plays Lady Mary eldest daughter of the Countess of Grantham (McGovern) in the series, told London’s The Telegraph that the two are having “so much fun” recording together.
“Elizabeth is a great songwriter,” she told the publication recently. The album is scheduled to be released later this year.
Dockery said she prefers to sing jazz and has already performed with McGovern’s band, Sadie and the Hotheads. A singer and songwriter, McGovern, who lives in England, has developed songs with The Nelson Brothers who are part of the accoustic band.
Dockery told a fansite that sometimes the entire cast performs one of Petula Clark's greatest hits.
"We sing Downtown occasionally," she told dawtonabbey.tumblr.com
