Alfonso Martin as Dracula and Karina Gonzalez as Svetlana in Tulsa Ballet's "Dracula." Martin and Gonzalez will dance these roles Friday and Saturday; Wang Yi and Soo Youn Cho will perform the roles Saturday, with Martin and Gonzalez dancing Frederic and Flora.

Tulsa Ballet's Sunday matinee performance of "Dracula" is officially sold out, according to an email we received from the company this afternoon.

The Friday night performance is close to sold out, as well.

Tulsa Ballet managing director Scott Black said prior to Thursday night's performance of the Ben Stevenson ballet that "Dracula" was best-selling show in Tulsa Ballet history. In addition to the four Tulsa performances, the company also presented "Dracula" twice in Oklahoma City, in performances that were near sell-outs.

The Daily Oklahoman also reviewed the show, saying that "the real thrill of the performance was the spectacular dancing of the artists of the Tulsa Ballet," and concluding the review with "Bravo to the Tulsa Ballet for making its way down the turnpike to share its artistry with Oklahoma City audiences."

Our review of the Tulsa debut performance will appear in Saturday's paper. But we will say this -- I see about getting tickets as fast as you can. "Dracula" is worth it.
