Derek Dugger has brain cancer, and the community will rally around him with a fundraiser on
Saturday at the
66 Bowl, 3810 NW 39th St., in
Oklahoma City.
Dugger is from Sapulpa. His father, the late Bobby Ray Dugger, was a drummer and had a swing band in the 1930s and 1940s, NewsOK reports.
Some 14 bands will participate in "Drumming for Derek," reports Oklahoma City rockabilly performer Brian Dunning's MySpace page.
The show starts at noon and runs late, cover is $5. Bands include

Brian Dunning & the Rock 'n' Roll Trio,
Reverb Bros,
Starkweather Boys,
